Pep band is open to everyone. During home basketball games the band will play stand tunes to get the crowd pumped for the game. This is a good way for students to practice their instruments while having fun at the same time. Students have the opportunity to perform the Star Spangled Banner as a soloist or even an ensemble.

Details for Pep Band
  • Meet in the WCHS Band Room at 6:30 pm
  • Dress - casual - Pirate colors (Red/Black/White)
  • Bring YOUR music, instrument, accessories, etc.
  • Band plays between JV and Varsity games, time-outs, half-time of Varsity game and at the end of the game.
  • 3rd Quarter of Varsity game is our break. Concessions available; nothing provided - NO food/drinks/gum in the gym. Be back in place and ready to play at the END OF THE 3rd QUARTER.
  • Be ready to play ANY time during the game. NO RANDOM playing in the stands; no switching instruments; exemplary behavior is the expectaion at ALLtimes when at school for a game.
  • No NON-BAND personnel allowed in with the Pep Band to get in.
  • Varsity game is APPROXIMATELY over around 9:00 p.m.
