| The marching
band season starts at the beginning of July and lasts until the beginning
of November. Here students will be memorize a 7-10 minute show and
practice several days during the weeks to combine the music with marching.
They will be taught marching technique and will learn drill to put
with the music. The band works with the color guard to put a show
together to not only entertain football crowds, but to compete in
competitions and contests. |
| This year the
band is going old school. The show will be a tribute to Frank Sinatra - Old Blue Eyes himself!

Band is OFF June 5 – July 8 (5 ½ Weeks) Please plan family trips and vacations accordingly. Rehearsals will only be effective if everyone is present.

Attendance at ALL August rehearsals and Band Camp is mandatory.

ANY ONE UN-EXCUSED absence results in that member forfeiting their drill spot.
|
|
There is a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for any member not demonstrating behavior, attendance, attitude, effort or cooperation appropriate to the success of the band.
|
|
Please notify Mr. Gray or any staff member IMMEDIATELY of ANY and ALL possible rehearsal conflicts. All attempts will be made to accommodate both the needs of the students and the band whenever possible.
