The concert band begins right after the marching band season is over. Students will work on pieces that will improve their musical talents and introduce them to new ideas and concepts. Several concerts will be held during the year.

New for the 2009-10 concert band season, band members will participate in solos and smaller group ensembles and perform for the O.M.E.A. Solo & Ensemble Adjudicated Event.

Details

1. Missing sectional or full band without an excused reason will result in student being removed from the March 5 O.M.E.A. performance.
2. Students that do not check off their music individually with the band directors will be removed from the March 5 O.M.E.A. performance.
3. Students with excessive absence may be removed from the March 5 O.M.E.A. performance.
4. Band rehearsals during the school day need to run at maximum efficiency. We need great attendance and maximum seat time. (all on task all the time)
5. Dress for Friday, March 5 – Look nice. Women: Dress, Skirt or Dress Slacks, Dress Top, Dress Shoes, appropriate accessories. Men: Dress Slacks, Dress Shirt, Dress Socks, Dress Shoes, Dress Belt.
6. Sign up to check off your music. Brasses and Woodwinds may check off Monday, Tuesday or Friday mornings at 7:00 a.m.or Monday/Tuesdays after school 3:00-4:00 p.m. Percussion will be checked off during Brass/Percussion Sectionals.
