The
West Carrollton Band Booster Organization is a group of parents
that are dedicated to helping make all of the various music programs
successful and fun. They support the band financially and by engaging
themselves in the different activities, such as band camp and
football games. This is a good way for parents to be involved
in the child's activities. If you would like to get involved,
we encourage you can attend band booster meetings (which are held
the second Monday of every month at 7:00 pm in the High School
Band room), help with fundraisers and parent
service credit opportunities, and be a chaperone at events like
band camp. The Band Boosters are the ones who built the uniform
carts, drive the trailer, and help with Senior Night. To see ways
in which you can help with fundrasing and parent service credit
opportunities, check out Fundraisers
and Parent Service Credit Opportunities, or you can contact anyone on
the Band Booster Executive Board. We look forward to hearing from
you!!!

Meet the Board
Cindy Miller, President
|
Hi, I’m Cindy Miller, and I'm very excited to be a part of the Boosters as President.
Nancy Wheeler and I have worked together on scouting events for a number of years and I'm sure we
can make a smooth transition. We are trying to come up with new ideas along with keeping with
what has worked in the past. My husband, Brian and I have lived in West Carrollton for 17 years
and our son, Brad, is currently a freshman playing tenor sax. We have enjoyed being involved in
various activities that Brad has had an interest. I look forward to working hard to keep our band
program strong.

Nancy Wheeler, Vice President

I am the mother of 5 children, 2 of whom are West Carrollton graduates. We have lived in the district for
17 years and currently have 3 boys in 3 different schools. My son, Kelson, is a sophomore in the marching
band. I joined the Band Boosters to help do my part for the kids. I also work full time and am actively
involved in Scouts and my church. If I can make the time to work for these kids, can’t you help as well?
We need all the help we can get, as “many hands make light work”. I’m looking forward to a fabulous year
with the band. The show is truly spectacular and they should be very successful. Give a board member a
call and volunteer today!

Mike Carter, Treasurer
|
Hi, I’m Mike Carter, Treasurer of the West Carrollton Band Boosters. After
our first year, my wife Diane and I are now the veterans of the board, and we plan
on being here for the long haul. When I’m not sending out invoices and counting
the change from fund raisers, I’m a computer programmer with Reynolds and
Reynolds in Kettering. My oldest son Jon graduated from the band in 2006
and is a currently enrolled at Bowling Green State University. My second son,
Erik, is a trombone player, and my youngest, Matthew, has taken over
Jon’s Baritone in the middle school. My daughter Katlyn is currently
at a specialty boarding school/treatment center in Utah.
I enjoy playing games and watching movies in the few seconds of spare time that
I can find.

Diane Carter, Corresponding Secretary
|
Hi, I’m Diane Carter, the Corresponding Secretary for the Boosters. When I’m not
volunteering for the band, I’m helping to take care of my four stepchildren.
I have one daughter, Becky, from my first marriage but she lives and attends
college in Minnesota. I also am a fairly new realtor, working full-time for
Big Hill GMAC. I felt it was important to be on the board of the band
boosters because I will have kids in the band for the next six years and with
all of the school cut-backs, etc., if the Boosters weren’t around, neither
would the marching band. And it is such a GREAT group of kids to associate
with!

Debbie Jenkins, Recording Secretary
|
I am the mother of Ben (will be senior) and Nathan (sophomore).
I have been a registered nurse in the ICU at Grandview hospital for 13 years.
I have just completed my Bachelor's degree at Kettering College.
We are active in Zion Lutheran Church. I went to band camp last year and had
so much fun I had to sign up as a board member!
I am excited about becoming more involved with the band - I was a 'band nerd' myself in High school.
