The West Carrollton High School Band requires several people, both up front directing and on co-ordinating both marching and music

Adam Uhlenhake

Band Director, Pep Band, Musical Arranger

  • St. Marys High School – 2003 graduate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education – University of Dayton, 2007
  • Master’s Degree in Saxophone Performance – University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory, 2009
  • Recorded CDs with UD Jazz Combo, First Flight Sax Quartet and UMKC Conservatory Wind Symphony
  • Drum Major for Pride of Dayton Marching Band, 2005-2006
  • Winner of 2005 U.D. Concerto-Aria Competition
  • President of Phi Omega Chapter, Phi Mu Alpha Men’s Music Fraternity
  • Written and arranged compositions for Sax Quartet and Jazz Combo
  • Mildly obsessed with The Doors and Metallica

Bill Dixon

  • Member of 1975 DCI corps Queen City Cadets (1975 DCI – 3rd place class finals)
  • O.M.E.A. All-State Jazz Band – Lead Trumpet 1976
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, VanderCook College of Music 1981
  • 1980-81 Tours with Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra and on-call for CBS Studios- Chicago
  • Has taught in West Carrollton since 1982 (NOT 1882)
  • Active free-lance musician with groups of all styles since 1977.
  • Performs regionally and nationally with jazz, blues, classical and pop groups including the Blues Brothers Revue and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Groups The Four Tops, The Temptations & The O’Jays and local groups Dayton Jazz Orchestra, Gem City Jazz, Jack Garrett & The Swingin' Starz & Cincinnati-based rock band, Johnny Clueless
  • Adjudicates all levels of jazz bands regionally and is an artist/clinician for Warburton Brass Mouthpieces (Terry Warburton – Orlando, Florida)
  • Plays/endorses Taylor Trumpets, King Trombones, Yamaha Saxes and LP Percussion

Greg Dalton

  • John Philip Sousa Award Winner – 2005
  • Member of the 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2008 Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.
  • 2008 Bluecoats Hornline Member or the Year.
  • Instructs and designs marching band & indoor percussion programs for various high schools throughout Ohio, Georgia, and Virginia
  • Currently attending BGSU, majoring in Music Education
